We work directly with each of the children’s assigned social workers to develop meaningful profiles of the children and young people, exploring not just their main information, but understanding their passions, needs and desires.
We develop a detailed and comprehensive biography profile includes both elements of the wants and needs for every child and young person to capture a definitive representation of their life story, told in their own way, using their own voices.
These incredibly valuable assets can be used to support each child and young person at family matching events, adoption, step downs and other useful scenarios where the child or young person needs not just be represented but to actually stand out.
Using the Valuing Care approach has helped us to think differently about how we work with care providers and as such, we are working with IFAs to find the most suitable matches within your local foster carer community. We very much see this as the beginning of a much bigger conversation that will help us shape our support for Children in Care.
